The Isle of Wight is a favourite holiday resort, easily accessed by frequent train (buy a ticket to Ryde Esplanade and it will include the ferry!) 2.5 hours from Waterloo.<\/p> <p>You can catch the Hovercraft from Southsea or Car ferry from Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington.
